REVIEWS
The book is so good! It is beautifully illustrated with stunning images which included many funny animals such as goats on top of buildings. The funny dad jokes made my grandson laugh-out-loud. It's a sweet story about generational families and nature, and a boy who wants to know who will remember to water the trees. Children should find the relationship between father and son inspiring. The story is also about caring for and protecting our planet.

This book is so sweet, highlighting father and child bonds, family traditions and our symbiotic relationship with nature. A great story that will find its place on the shelves of children everywhere.

“Remember to Water the Trees” is whimsically illustrated, beautiful story about a young boy, generations of family, the lessons parents pass to their children, and an appreciation for nature. I hope you enjoy this book as much as my kids and I.

The first thing that grabs you is the beautiful illustrations. Next is the whimsical depiction of the animals. But, the important thing is the two messages contained in the story. One is the relationship between a dad and his son. The second is our responsibility to be stewards of nature.

We found Chris Johnson’s paintings in a gallery in Denver and immediately fell in love with the bright colors and whimsical scenes. When we found out he was writing a children’s book we had to have it! It does not disappoint, the pictures on every page are beautiful and the story is a cute and quick read. It will be perfect for bedtime!

My children love this book! I’m not saying it just say it, but the bond the reader gets to experience between a father and son is absolutely endearing. As an adult, it takes me back to my own childhood and it unlocks my own adventures to share with my children. I absolutely loved it! Great job!

This book is absolutely the cutest. The story of a father and son road trip is peppered with dad jokes while still weaving a sweet story. The art work is awesome. There are so many little hidden gems that I see when I reread it. I read it to a group of preschool kids who were excited to see who would water the tree next. It was so great that the kids' teacher borrowed the book to read to her afternoon class. I'm probably going to have to buy another. There is a spelling error on page 17, but I won't hold that against anyone. It is a first addition after all. The writer did an exceptional job telling his tale and an even better job illustrating it. I can't wait to read his next book!
